Materials & Durability

We work with a range of Australian hardwoods, as well as treated pine options. Every deck is built with proper ventilation, drainage consideration, waterproofing, and corrosion-resistant fixings to ensure longevity and safety.

Guidance with Permits & Compliance

Deck permit requirements vary depending on height, size, and structural complexity. Some low-level decks are permit-exempt, while elevated decks or those tied into the home may require drawings, engineering, or a building permit.

We help clients understand what applies to their project and provide guidance throughout the process.

We collaborate with trusted independent partners, including draftspersons, structural engineers, and private building surveyors, who can provide drawings, engineering, and permits when required.

While they are not part of our team, we work with them regularly to ensure smooth, compliant project delivery.

For permit-exempt decks, we manage the build directly.
For permit-required decks, clients may proceed as Owner-Builders or appoint a registered builder, and we carry out all carpentry and installation.
